If you’re looking for a compact MPV to transport your family and friends then take a look at the versatile Volkswagen Touran. Launched in 2003 to fill the gap between the much larger Sharan and the elegant Passat, it’s a popular lifestyle vehicle that not only looks good but performs well too. With all seven seats in place the boot is a more than adequate 121 litres – fold them flat and you get a massive space to store your cargo. It’s easy to load too.
