Louis Rix, co-owner of the new carcraft.co.uk website, comments:
“As the new owners of the Carcraft brand it saddens us to be reminded of the losses incurred when the previous business went into administration.
“We want to reassure customers that the new carcraft.co.uk website is nothing to do with the previous company, it simply has the same name, so unfortunately we’re not in a position to be able to do anything about what happened with customers or staff of the former CC Automotive Group. This was handled at the time by the administrators Grant Thornton UK LLP. Click here for more information.
“My brother Reg and I had considered that some people might be upset by our decision to take on the Carcraft name for our new website, but it was a personal choice to revitalise the brand name because it was a car retailer we knew in its heyday, when we first started working in the automotive industry.
“We hope customers will be reassured that our new website is totally separate to the previous company, and is credible and backed by a solid team with many years of experience of running a classified car site. We’re also creating new jobs in the North West to support our new Carcraft venture and will be offering customers a great online experience when purchasing a used vehicle from reputable dealers across the UK.
