If you’re looking for a boxy little city car that offers amazingly low running costs, the Agila is for the car for you. Surprisingly spacious for a car this size, the well-designed cabin has split-fold seats and plenty of storage. With six different models in the range, you can choose from either a three-cylinder 1.0-litre or a four-cylinder 1.2-litre petrol engine. The 1.0 Ecoflex boasts super-low CO2 emissions of 119g/km putting it in band C so you’ll only pay £30 road tax. Insurance costs are minimal too, ranging from group 5 to group 8 across the range. You’ll also see a return of around 50mpg, so it’s a great option if you’re on a budget. Fitting four adults easily it’s really simple to park and great for urban miles, while performing equally well on the motorway. Although it’s not packed with gadgets you have exactly what you need to get from A to B in comfort. Safety-wise it’s a good bet, with passenger, driver and side airbags, Isofix child safety fixings and ABS.
