For those with big tribes, the used Seat Alhambra provides affordable and comfortable transport. The Alhambra's nice diesel engines mean that fuel economy alone is a good enough reason to buy one. The entry-level 113bhp 1.9-litre is plenty powerful, but for real economy you need the 138bhp 2.0-litre, which will take you from 0-60 in 11.8 seconds and return 47mpg. The Ecomotive engine also averages 47mpg and comes into the 22% company tax band.
