The latest Volvo XC60 cars in stock
People of a certain age might have their own ideas about what Volvo stands for – safety and capacity, perhaps a spot of luxury, but not much besides. That all changed in 2008, with the launch of the XC60, an executive-level sporty crossover which has since gone on to become the Swedish giant’s best selling car. The car had a groundbreaking development path, sharing some of its technological development with Land Rover, a move that benefits both companies. The XC60 comes in front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions – not to be confused with 4WD, as all-wheel drive delivers different amounts of drive to individual wheels to get the optimum traction from the engine. Talking of engines, the XC60 comes in 3.0- and 3.2-litre petrol and 2.0- and 2.4-litre diesel versions, so these aren’t monster trucks, but they’ll certainly not leave you wanting more power in any given situation.
