For a second car or for stylish couples, the used Toyota iQ offers city motoring with a difference. Cost is low and quality high, in the UK's tiniest four-seater. Under three metres long, the iQ is surprisingly big inside and more stylish than the Ford Ka or Smart Cars range. The used Toyota iQ starter engine is a 67bhp 1.0-litre that won't trouble the third lane of the M1, but is sprightly around town. There's also a 1.33-litre petrol that achieves 0-60mph in 12.7 seconds and returns 57mpg.
The used Toyota iQ uses width well, and there's great breathing space up front, although the seat behind the driver is best only for tiny offspring. Naturally, you won't be doing any house removals with the 32-litre boot, but there's 240 litres to play with when the seats are down. Trims are the iQ, iQ2 and iQ3 and every one gets alloys, air-con, CD player, power steering, electric mirrors and iPOD input. The iQ2 gets goodies such as rain-sensing wipers, while the iQ3 looks great in unique alloys.
