The latest Mitsubishi Lancer cars in stock
You'll have seen the Mitsubishi Evo tearing around your local dual carriageways, but few know about its quieter sibling. That's a shame because, as a family car, the used Mitsubishi Lancer is very well-equipped, with good space and a neat driving experience. The design is a more understated version of the Evo, yet it retains the sporty nose and rear spoiler. The 1.8-litre petrol engine takes the car from 0-60mph in 9.5 seconds, but the VW-supplied diesel engine is better, reaching 60mph in 9.4 seconds and still returning 45mpg. For real speed, try the Evo X. Space is excellent in the Lancer's interior, and the cabin is fine for five adults, while tinted glass and climate control are standard across the range. You can choose from two trims - the GS3 and GS4. The former's goodies include alloys, sports suspension, six-speaker stereo, cruise control and four electric windows. The GS4 includes heated leather seats, sat-nav and a 30GB music hard drive. The Lancer scored five stars in the tougher 2009 Euro NCAP tests.
