The latest Mercedes-Benz B Class cars in stock
In typical Mercedes lingo, the German firm hails the B-Class as a 'compact sports tourer'. But it's actually more of a small people carrier, with acres of space and dependable Teutonic reliability. Engines on the used Mercedes-Benz B Class start with the 1.5, which delivers 0-62mph in 12.6 seconds. The best petrol, though, is the 136bhp A200, which features a turbo version that'll speed you to 60mph in just 7.6 seconds. But the diesels make most sense, with the 140bhp A200 CDI reaching 62mph in 9.5 seconds. The B Class is a practical choice, with a double-layer floor that creates a flat surface right from the back of the boot. Lowered, there's 506 litres of stowage, but with jiggery-pokery, you can expand this to an amazing 2,205 litres. Standard kit is fine, with electric front windows and door mirrors, selective damping, air-con, height-adjustable driver's seat, steering adjustment, bags of airbags and electronic stability programme.
