Motorists looking for a luxury second hand vehicle that does not break the bank may wish to consider purchasing a used Jaguar X-Type.

According to What Car? magazine, the X-Type is cheaper than its rivals but does not compromise on quality, as shown by the "excellent blend of ride and handling" which is on offer to owners of the vehicle.

It stated that "low prices and a good drive" help to make the vehicle a genuine alternative to class-leaders like the BMW 3 Series.

The review pointed out that the X-Type''s cabin maintains the high standards for which Jaguar is famous, with some models coming with wood and leather interiors.

"There''s plenty of space in the front, with good adjustment on the driver''s seat and steering wheel," used car buyers were told.

Auto Express has also commended the vehicle for the spaciousness of its interior, as well as going on to praise its impressive equipment levels and good ride quality.

"The chassis handles with all the refinement buyers in this sector of the market expect," the review added.
