According to car buyers'' guide Parker''s, the vehicle should give motorists who would normally opt to purchase a hatchback "food for thought".
It stated models of the Note made after 2006 have a versatile and spacious interior which is great for families.
"The Note is a good all-round package," the review said.
"In addition to its exceptionally useful interior, it''s fun to drive, well equipped and cheap to run."
Used car buyers were advised the Nissan Note comes with good build quality and is simple to drive, a feature of the car that has also been commended by What Car? magazine.
"It''s easy to drive around town thanks to its light and accurate steering," it said.
The driving position of the used Nissan Note is combined with a well-laid out control panel and the high roofline means there is plenty of headroom, What Car? added.
