Do I need to make an appointment to visit a Carcraft showroom?
No – you can drop in whenever suits you. We’re open until 9pm every weekday, 8pm on Saturdays and 6pm on a Sunday. But if we know to expect you, we can make sure we have someone available to answer all your questions straight away. So if you’re going to be in a hurry, or you want to test drive a specific car, it might be safest to make an appointment.
When are you open?
All our showrooms are open from 10am to 9pm during the week and 9am to 8pm on Saturdays. On Sundays, trading laws mean we can only sell cars between 11am and 5pm, but we’re open for you to browse and chat from 10am to 6pm. We are usually open on Bank Holidays, but trading laws also mean there are some days we can’t open. Check with your local showroom for details.

What documents do I need to take a test drive?
To test drive any of our cars in stock please bring your driving licence with you.
What do I need to bring with me when I buy a car?
In order to drive your car away today, you’ll need to bring your driving licence (including the counterpart), a utility bill showing your current address dated within the last 3 months and a proof of signature. We may also require recent wage slips (if you’re arranging finance for your car), documents for your old car (if you’re part exchanging) and your current insurance details.
What if the car I like isn’t at my local Showroom?
If the car you really like isn’t at your nearest showroom, we’ll happily move it for you. Simply click on ‘Reserve This Car’ and someone will be in touch to discuss your requirements and make all the arrangements.
If I buy today, will I be insured?
We understand that you’ll want to drive your new car home but you may not have had the time to search around for a competitive insurance quote. Carcraft is an Aviva Driveaway approved dealer, providing you with 7 days free comprehensive insurance, so you have plenty of time to find the cover that best suits you and your new car. Cover notes are provided within the hour, leaving you to enjoy your new car with complete peace of mind. We’re sorry but you do have to be 21 or older for this insurance.
Do Carcraft cars come with a guarantee?
We aim to provide every customer with the reassurance and level of service that should come as standard whether you’re buying a new or a used car. Every Carcraft car comes with a comprehensive 1 Year guarantee*. Extended guarantees up to 5 years are also available. All our cars have a full and thorough pre-sale mechanical inspection covering bodywork, engine, brakes and tyres.
Finance Queries
I don’t have a deposit – can I get finance?
Usually yes. Many of Carcraft’s flexible finance solutions are geared towards customers with low or no deposit although in some circumstances you may be asked to provide a deposit. This will depend on your personal financial circumstances.
I have a poor credit rating/CCJ’s – can I get finance?
Carcraft try to cater for all types of customers and have an extensive panel of finance companies to support this. Often with just one issue or a generally weak credit rating we can supply a financial solution to help you purchase a car. This will depend though on your overall financial circumstances but get in touch and we’ll try to help.
I have outstanding finance on my current car – can you help me?

I’m a student – can I get finance?
This will depend on your overall personal circumstances, so please get in touch and we’ll do what we can to help.
I’m unemployed – can I get finance?
It depends. If you are just genuinely unemployed at present it is unlikely. However if you are long term unemployed due to disability or you act as a carer then it’s possible. It really depends on your overall personal circumstances so get in touch and we’ll see what we can do to help.
Part Exchange Queries
Will you take my old car in part-exchange?
To help make things as affordable as possible, Carcraft guarantees to take your old car in part exchange. Whatever the make, model, age or condition – even if it has no MOT – we’ll accept your car as a deposit against any vehicle in stock. Car’s damaged? Don’t worry, we’ll still accept it in part exchange.
What do I need to bring for my part-exchange car?
All we ask is that you bring your log book (V5), MOT (if it has one) and any other documentation such as the owner’s handbook, the car’s service record, spare keys and any radio code.
